What did you think of the second game between Chelsea and Barcelona?

I don't really care who you were for, but what'd you think about the game. I think both teams got shafted and that the ref completely sucked. There were two fouls made on Chelsea in the penalty box, as well as two blatant hand. All four of these should have been penalty kicks and he didn't even call a foul. Also, Barcelona got shafted because their player got a red card when he didn't do a thing. However, when they scored the late goal, the ref, according to FIFA rules, should have given out quite a few cards. I mean, first off, the Iniesta (the goal scorer) took his shirt off: yellow card, and then the entire team and coaches etc. came off the bench and delayed the game. I just think that regardless of how the teams played the ref sucked it up and ruined the game. Do you agree?

Why do I all of a sudden have an acne problem?

I've always had good skin in the past and I didn't get pimples that often. Then I was on birth control (the patch, then I switched to Yasmin the last couple months) for about a year and a half and birth control is known to treat acne, so I had virtually no pimples at all during that time. Now that I've stopped my birth control, just recently I started getting more pimples than before I even started birth control. I have about 4 on my face right now. Before I would never have more than 1 at a time. What's the deal? Are my hormones out of whack still?

Insulating Garage Ceiling?

We just had our first child, and his room is right above the garage. It is noticebly colder in his room, especially the floor. I used the plastic window kits and that helped, however, the floor is still extremely cold and I would like to at least check the insulation in the garage ceiling. Right now there is drywall on the ceiling, but I have no qualms about ripping it down, not real worried what it looks like. What should I look for...I believe there is very old (50 years) fibergl insulation but i'm not 100% sure. If there is the old insulation there...should I look to replace it? If so, with what R value...Is this a project that someone without specific experience in the field could complete? I'm pretty handy but certainly not a pro. I'm not worried at all how it looks in the garage.

the only way your going to fix that drain problem is with a small drain snake. that is ran down one of the bathtubs overflows. by taking the cover off, usually two screws and pulling the stopper embly out that comes out when you remove the cover plate. then a small drain snake, usually 1/4 x 25' that you can get at home depot or Lowe's or your hardware store for around $15 and run it down the drain until the water drains. remember that you will find some resistance at about 2 foot into the drain. it is the trap that you must get past. the stoppage is usually not too far maybe about 15feet down. that drain usually ties in by the toilet. good luck

When I turn the key nothing at all happens not even a clicking noise. NO lights or radio nothing like the battery is dead. But the car won't take a jump and the battery tested good. When the car sits for a minute the electrical lights and door chime start working again but nothing from the engine it won't turn over or even make any clicking noise. Then if you try to start it a few times the lights go out again and it is totally dead. If you wait a few minutes and try again the lights will be on then go off again but the car never starts or makes any noise. Do you have any suggestions on what this might be?? Thank-you

TTP diagnosed verse HUS?

My Bro diagnosed with Leukemia(AML & ALL) 5/09, received chemo, bone marrow trans. Will say he beat it to b point. My puppy was attacked yesterday....?

We were at a public dog festival in the area, where lots of people brought lots of different dogs. All of the dogs were very well behaved and it was an extremely pleasant time until out of nowhere a fullsize adult dog (mix breed, possible german shepard, pittbull, mastiff), grabs my puppy from behind and lifts her off the ground sinking his teeth into her. She had 4 puncture wounds, 2 of which were where 2 teeth connected below the skin forming a pocket. She now has a piece of gauze running through her back which we have to flush twice a day and she is on 3 medications for her injuries. I got the contact information from the owner and found that he has a website chronicaling all the dogs past troubles in which it's attacked 2 other dogs and a person. One attack was self described as "very brutal." This guy should have never had his dog out in public. I am going to try and get him to pay the medical cost($281) without involving the authorities, but I feel compelled to get them invovled because this dog obviously should never be allowed to be in public. I don't want the dog put down, but this owner needs to be taught a lesson. He knew his dog was very violent and still took it into a situation it obviously couldn't handle. You should probably hang onto Thor and have someone else hold onto Bear. Hold Thor still and have Bear walk past him (not within Thor's attack range) and see how Thor reacts. If he reacts positively, then you can bring them a bit closer and let them sniff each other from a few feet apart but with no direct contact. Again, if they react well to that, move closer. Let them sniff each other in direct contact. If they react well to that, let them off leash. If they react well to that, then it's time to remove Bear and bring Sugar in. Do the same with Sugar as you did with Bear. Make sure both dogs seem comfortable before bringing them closer. If its a success with Bear and Sugar, bring them both back in off leash. Its potentially dangerous, but if you're constantly watching them they should be fine. If they start to fight, you should catch them soon enough and be able to separate them. I hear a lot of people saying, "the dems could have ended the Iraq war by now but they choose not to". Is this true? I know the democrats hold enough power to get a bill into the presidents office, but after he vetos it it seems as though we lack the numbers to overide his veto power. Can someone, in a civil, intelligent manner explain the reality of the situation.

So, there's this girl that I think might have a little bit of a crush on me. She's about three or four years older than me and for certain reasons she can't openly flirt with me. Dependent for half a year?

I have a friend who is 18 and still living at home with his parents. However, up until september, he was paying his own way with miscellaneous, untaxed jobs. Then he got a job in September and grossed around $15,000 (taxed) by the end of the year. However his mother still wants to claim him as a dependent because he's still living with her. She's telling him that she can claim him as a dependent for the first half of the year, and then he can file himself for the last four months. I've never heard of this and personally, I think she just wants another tax exemption. Has anyone ever heard of this? What do you think he should he do?

Why can plants survive frost or even freezing?

Early in the morning when walking my dog I see frozen due drops and brine on the leaves of a lot of gr like wild plants near the ground. When you walk on them you can hear them crunch. The next day when the sun comes out you see that they are thriving and look oh so healthy. I think it's awesome to be proactive and to feel prepared (although you'll find if you have children nothing can completely prepare you). I highly recommend the Babywise series by Ezzo. I love his principles (not used in the extreme, of course). It's mainly based around sleeping & eating cycles, but when utilized correctly, result in a very content, alert, and well rested baby. Scared First-Time Drivers' Tester in Michigan! A few questions, actually . . .?

I'm originally from Michigan, and my grandfather does road tests there. You need to use turn signals!!! Not for parallel parking, but you do need to use them. If in doubt...use them. They keep an eye on your speed, but they're mostly checking to make sure that you're consistent. Don't speed, but going a mile over won't kill you (I would try not to drift a "few"). Don't flick your eyes across the intersection, physically move your head so they can see you're taking the precautions. Always check your blind spot before changing lanes...even if you KNOW someone isn't there. They look for that. Turn your head over your shoulder and check. One thing that almost failed me...Stop BEFORE the stop signs. Completely stop! I know you can't see sh** from that spot, but stop there completely and then roll forward and stop again to check the intersection. They want to make sure that you're not stopping in the middle of the crosswalks that pedestrians use. I also remember them asking me some gay question like "If you're driving down the road and see a vehicle driving at you head on, what do you do?" Yeah, it's not change lanes like you would actually do in that situation. The answer is "Swirve to the right shoulder and hit something soft." Soft meaning a tree, or a fence (?? I know). I guess that's softer than a car traveling at 60 mph. And then just remember all of the petty stuff, blinkers for changing lanes, keep your eyes on the road (they may ask you to change the radio station or something), both hands on the wheel, yellow means stop if you can do so safely...not speed up. What's the best front lace wig adhesive?

I just bought my first lace front wig and I'm not sure what adhesive to buy. Long lasting ability isn't really a big deal since it's my first lace front and I'm just trying it out. I don't want something that is going to rip out my hair. I do have hair at my hair line and I have long hair, it's just thin. I was going to use a wig cap, alcohol, skin protector and an adhesive. Professors do you enjoy attending faculty senate meetings or are you somewhat obliged to attend?

One of my grad school profs was our department's faculty senate rep for a year. She found it tedious and usually tried to sneak grading or other work in so that the time would be useful. Its a duty that usually goes to prof working toward tenure who needs to beef up their credentials. After that year somebody else took it and she's tenured now. She had taught other places but I don't think ever at a community college. She's a really good teacher and really enjoys it... most of the time.

Has anyone else had a Gnathonemus petersii & pimelodus pictus sharing community tank and fighting?

just have a question regarding the social behaviour of a couple of the fish in my partners 4ft community freshwater tank. We have today purchased a beautiful pimelodus pictus and introduced it to the tank. Please bear in mind this is our second pimelodus pictus as our first one went missing and is presumed dead. We have a gnathonemus petersii in the tank and while it is generally peaceful towards others in the tank (rainbow fish, plattys, bristlenose's etc etc) it has taken a instant dislike to the pictus. It almost seems as though it seeks it out in the tank only to har and chase it. We were advised by the salesperson that the two breeds should interact fine. We do think that the elephant fish had something to do with pictus #1 and its dissapearance. Pictus #2 seems rather stressed as one would expect but does not fight back or retaliate. Any help or advice would be appreciated as we would love to keep both fish but do not know what to do re: behaviour towards eachother

Best surfboard for me, Al merrick POD 5'10, Al Merrick Dumpster Diver 5'4", or Al merrick Neckbeard 5'4"?

The pod is a thick board and in general you want to follow the advice of the shaper. That advice is for people who are decent at surfing though. If it was me I would get the dumpster diver. The pod is well too pod shaped for me and probably not as maneuverable. The neckbeard looks fun but idk that flat tail could become a problem on some bigger more powerful waves. That is really a SMALL wave board. I think its only meant for waves up to 4 feet so depends on how you measure but maybe shoulder to head high at the most? Personally with the size waves you ride I would go with the dumpster diver. Also boards come in different sizes so why you should be limited to those three measurements im not sure. That all said you obviously surf, but I dont know what your ability is so its hard to say which board to get. The White Dove is a bigger wave board meant to be really maneuverable and responsive and not a good board for beginners plus a 5'11" would be a few inches taller than one would go for a standard shortboard. I think any of the boards you have listed will be challenging in different ways and will feel a lot different than the white dove but they will float you a little more. Keep in mind that boards like the dumpster diver go for this newer idea of smaller but more volume rather than longer and thinner. They an be tricky to get the hang of because of how short your ride them. But hey this is all just speculation from very little information, sometimes it helps to get another perspective. I would still go to a surf shop, maybe make a trip to santa barbara, and talk to the guys there. See each board in person so you might have a better idea of what suits you. Sometimes you just pick up a board that feels right to you.

Why is my hair not growing back?

It was about November or October 2009 when I started using the Nioxin System #2. It came with 3 steps. The shampoo, the conditioner, and the scalp treatment. My hair has been fine. I just wanted to try out the product to help out my scalp, but after using it for a couple of weeks my hair began to fall out. I didn't notice it at first, but then I was losing so much hair. It is now mid April 2010 and the hair along my hairline is beginning to grow in, but the rest of my scalp isn't growing in. Is this permanent? Are my hair follicle permanently damaged? Should I drop my best friend?

Brie, my best friend, ran over me with her car on Sunday. Mental and emotional problems?

I have many problems. It all started a few weeks ago. I have been very depressed and sucidal. For a week I was cutting myself every day to relieve the emotional pain. I wanted to die all the time. I wrote many poems about dieing and all morbid stuff. I just stopped caring about life and I don't have the energy to do things like I used to. My mom says my depression is from all the acne medication I took (and there's alot). I talked to my counselor friday and he said that I should go the hospital and get some help. So I went and it was the worst experience of my life. So saturday (the next day) I was taken to a mental hospital (which was so creepy, don't ever go to one!). And I was talked too. And they let me go home on the condition that if I cut myself I have to go the hospital, which I don't want so I won't cut myself. So we got home and my mom cleaned my room and took away everything that I could hurt myself. So I got into a fit of rage (I have many anger problems) and treated her like crap. I strangled myself with my pants(stupid, yes, I know) and if my mom hadn't come in, in two minutes I would have been dead. So now I have to get therapy. Everyone is worried about my mental health and me and they don't want me to harm myself anymore. I don't want to cut myself or die but life is so hard right now. My friends are helping me and so is my family. I'm getting therapy in a few days and am not too happy about it. I know, I wrote alot, and I feel so stupid expressing myself on here but I just want to ask you guys what do you think of all this. If you could maybe give me some other ways to cope right now, I would be so grateful. So thanks. Also I am 14 years old and everybody is telling me not to waste my life by commiting suicide.

Weight Gain after anorexia?

Ok so here is the story i was diagnosed with anorexia 3 years ago and received inpatient treatment for a year and a half and then for one year i had maintained my weight out of hospital (43kg) Then In january of this year i decided that if i wanted to really over come this disorder i needed to gain weight's that's what i did And i was told by every medical professional that my weight would return to normal and stabilize but that hasn't happen i have now gain 22kg in 7 months and i freak out every day but i don't let it show because im trying to not let it bother me so much but when i start to think about it i get panic attacks because this weight gain isn't slowing down and i don't know what to do i've been to the dr numerous time and nobody can figure out why this is happening i am now medically overweight i need to know if this has happened to anyone else who has recovered from anorexia please. Psp problem?

Why does my right ear feel clogged.. like if I was in an airplane?

This is only for my right ear.. my left ear I can hear fine, but my right ear its the problem.. I have no cold or flu or nothing like that. It feels like If I was on an airplane flying.. u see how it gets like shut down or clogged not clearly hearable.. like u guys know what I mean..Well since its bothering me I tired using a Q-Tip and taking any Wax I had out.. and I had nothing in there.. I tried letting water go in it.. not a solution.. I tried yawning but I only hear like the usual crackling sounds u hear when u are on an airplane an try to get ur ear to open.. One of my hermit has buried himself, but he is still in his shell. When they are molting, don't they

leave their shell behind? This hermit crab has been buried for about two months. I had him in an isolation tank, but last night I could hear him chirping and scratching. I thought maybe he couldn't get out. I thought the sand had become too hard and crusty for him. I know you're not supposed to dig them up, but I was worried something was wrong! So, I gently dug him up and he was still in his shell! I put him in the big tank, right on top of the food dish, and he promptly sought out a hidden away spot and dug himself back under!
