Why were conservatives standing against America for winning the Olympics?

Seems conservatives want to become secessionists, riot, behave rudely, and in general just are against their country in any way they can be. They were very active on this board in their opposition, although I did not know they were so favorably towards Brazil. Do Americans need to remember this at the polls?
