Who is Che Guevara? Why is he important?

Unlike the person before me, I didn't copy and paste from Wikipedia which any idiot can do. Anyway, Che Gueveara was a doctor turned Cuban Revolutionary leader from Argentina. He teamed up with the Castro brothers and helped overthrow the Cuban dictator, Fulgencio Batista. During the revolution, the US supported the Castros and Guevara, but obviously after that, we weren't their biggest fans. Guevara helped the Cuban people, and he helped spread the message of Cuban Socialism. He was also an author and a proclaimed guerrilla war fighter. People wear shirts with his name or face on it because Che Guevara was symbolic counterculture figure. People who wear his shirts have beliefs that go against the "norm" and they rebel against society (think 1960's). And one last note, try not to ask if he was good or bad, because it can often get misconstrued into a negative meaning when you are talking to people who are natives from the "enemy" country. Just saying. But overall, awesome question and hopefully I answered it well enough. :)
